History of the Circle of Excellence

O

e started from a few observations: minorities of African immigrants from Belgium have a certain aura in the Kingdom. Many have succeeded in their careers after brilliant studies, and others have started from scratch to make their place.

But some of us Afro-descendants are becoming increasingly individualistic, sometimes even finding it difficult to accept our African origins.

This individualism on the part of some, combined with fatalism on the part of others, means that we do not get involved enough, do not propose enough, collectively, in the public debate. This explains why abnormal situations that we live in are not taken into account or are very poorly appreciated.

What can our generation contribute in the face of these findings? What have our elders ever done or tried to do? What didn't work and why? What are the solutions currently proposed by the public authorities? How can they be made more effective?

Let us first recall that during its version 1, the Circle of Excellence organized events that allowed : the meeting between several elites of the Diaspora, the discovery of innovative achievements. Hidden talents within the African Diaspora.

This version 1 of the Circle was also one of practical confrontation with the harsh realities on the ground.

Taking into account the positive results and the structural, functional and human resource anomalies, we have chosen not to be either triumphal or fatalistic.

We have continued to reflect on the future of the initiative we have begun, to continue to take into account the experiences of our elders and the observations of our children in order to enter into a process of continuous improvement.
