Our Agenda

ur agenda is dedicated to the preparation of the 4th "DIASPORA ENGAGEMENT FORUM 2023" which will take place in Brussels on 09 June 2023.

The theme is: "Leveraging diaspora remittances for small-scale investments in food security and renewable energy in Africa".

The Cercle de l'Excellence is honoured to welcome a delegation from the African Institute for Remittances (AIR). The delegation is led by its Executive Director, Mr Amadou Cissé.

Delegates from associations representing the African diaspora in Europe (Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Sweden, England, Norway, Spain, Belgium, etc.) will also be present.

The DEF is a platform bringing together experts, AU authorities, EU authorities and the African diaspora.

This platform provides an opportunity for the diaspora to express itself, to explore the limits and possibilities of the remittances it regularly transfers to Africa.

 The presence of delegates of associations from different European countries allows to exchange experiences lived on contemporary issues and then to propose appropriate solutions to improve the well-being of the recipient populations.

Solutions that exploit and optimize the benefits of Africa’s abundant natural and intellectual resources without harming the environment.

Do we need to remember these assets? The two social codes, European and African, that we acquired during our journey, as well as our various professional experiences, are very important assets to carry out our actions during our participation in the development of infrastructures that will significantly improve the well-being of these populations.
